FOLEY, Ala. - An officer involved shooting that left one man dead in a quiet Baldwin County community, has many neighbors talking.

Patrol cars. Yellow tape. Wednesday morning on Ashford Park Drive in Foley is where investigators said 51-year-old Michael Woods was arrested for dealing drugs. It's where Foley Police officer Randy Stallworth was shot in the leg. And it's where 77-year-old Robert Woods was shot dead.

"I just remember seeing a bunch of cars and wondering what's going on because when I walked out that morning, it was just a bunch of cops and a helicopter, and I was like what's going on?" said neighbor Brylee Watson, who attends nearby Foley Intermediate School.

The incident has Watson's mother wondering how safe her neighborhood is.

"It does change it because I think a lot of that goes on in Foley," said Watson's mother, Donna Lord. "I appreciate what the police are doing here. I think they're cracking down on the drugs and sometimes I think people aren't as innocent as they make themselves out to be."

FOX10 News Reporter Cary Chow approached the Woods' home and spoke with the suspect's sister.

"I don't want to be on camera, but the only thing I want to say is what's been reported has not been accurate," said the sister, who shall remain unnamed.

"My mother was not arrested and my dad was not involved in any way with what my brother was doing. And there was no high-powered weapon in this house, except for what the police had."

Investigators stated Woods approached officers with a handgun that had a laser sight mounted to it.

Several agencies are now investigating the incident. All of the officers involved in the shooting are on paid administrative leave.

Meanwhile, Michael Woods faces five felony drug-related charges.
