GULFPORT, Miss. - On Monday night, the Coast Guard was still looking for an Ocean Springs Police Officer. Stephen Bond was on a boat that capsized Sunday.
Four other boaters have been rescued, including two other police officers.
"I still have one person. I don't know where's he at. Hopefully he's still alive out there." said Ocean Springs Police Officer, Jonathan Navas.
Navas is one of four boaters rescued in the Gulf of Mexico Monday.
His friend and fellow officer, Stephen Bond is still missing.
"Luckily, the water is still over 80 degrees. It could be a lot worse, but if you have somebody out here long enough it can be bad," said Coast Guard BM2, Cade Strong.
"Which is why we're out here with as many people as we can spare to find this person."
The Coast Guard and four other agencies are looking for Bond. Crews found the other four boaters 15 miles south of Pascagoula near Horn Island.
However, with six planes and nine boats, this search is more widespread.
"Since we have more assets, we're looking everywhere," Strong said. "We're overlapping everything to get good coverage."
Friends say Bond was in good shape physically, so search crews say chances are good as long as he's wearing a life vest.
"It always helps. But we can't confirm or deny he's wearing one," Strong said.
For now, friends like Navas, can only wait and hope.
"I'm worried to death," Navas said. "I don't know where he is. I hope he's still alive. I'm praying."
The four other boaters were all resting with minor injuries Monday at Gulfport Memorial Hospital.
