Vietnam Veterans now have another day in their honor. It’s called Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans.

38 years ago today, the last American troops pulled out of Vietnam. For the second year in a row, the U.S. Senate has passed a resolution welcoming those soldiers home.

The resolution designates March 30 as Welcome home Vietnam Veterans Day.

Unfortunately, the day is not well publicized and many people - even Vietnam Veterans don't know about it.

American Legion post 90 in Atmore is holding a Welcome Home celebration Wednesday, March 30. The event is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is open to the public.

More than 58,000 U.S. Troops were killed in Vietnam and more than 300,000 were wounded.
