JACKSON CO., Miss. (WALA) - Officials said a one-night detail by the Jackson County Narcotics Division on Friday, Jan. 25, led to the arrests of six people in three different cases throughout the county.

Deputies said Ronnie Wayne Cooper, 39, and Kelly Glenn Brown, 50, were arrested at Cooper’s home on Jim Ramsey Rd. in Vancleave and charged on methamphetamine charges.

Brown was charged with manufacturing meth, generation of hazardous waste and possession of precursors. Investigators said he was out on jail on $5,000 bail from a previous arrest for possession of a controlled substance and burglary of a dwelling. His bail was revoked, and deputies said Brown will remain at the Jackson County Adult Detention Center until the first round of charges is resolved.

Cooper was charged with manufacturing meth, generation of hazardous waste, possession of precursors and manufacturing marijuana. Cooper was out of jail on $5,000 bail for a previous possession of the controlled substance charge. Her bail was revoked and Cooper will remain at the Jackson County Adult Detention Center until the first round of charges is resolved. Cooper was also on non-adjudicated probation through the state Department of Corrections for a possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Deputies said narcotics agents seized an undisclosed amount of marijuana.

Authorities said a homeowner notified the sheriff’s department that three people appeared to be burglarizing a neighbor’s house in St. Martin.

Officials said Bradley Michael Anstead, 22, Phillip Carnelous Brodus, 24, and Evan Elijah Powell, 23 were nearby in a vehicle that was stopped by deputies. They said an undisclosed amount of marijuana was found in the vehicle and each man was charged on a possession of marijuana offense.

Brodus was also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Anstead and Powell had bail set at $5,000 while Brodus’ bail was set at $10,000.

Investigators with the Jackson County Criminal Investigations Division then charged each Anstead, Brodus and Powel on burglary of a dwelling and possession of burglary tools offenses.

Deputies said Thomas “Man-Man” Heathington was charged on a possession of crack cocaine offense following a community tip.
