LUCEDALE, Miss. (AP) - Authorities are investigating the death of a man's whose body was found by pipeline workers near the Bexley community of George County.
Sheriff's department spokeswoman Shonna Pierce says the workers found the body of 23-year-old Joshua Gautier, of George County, about 1 p.m. Wednesday on a portion of the pipeline in the Bexley community.
Pierce says his death is being investigated as a homicide.
Pierce says it appears the man had been dead for a couple of days, though an autopsy is pending to determine the estimated time and cause of death.
No other details were released.
