Bryant: state should resist president's gun limits

JACKSON, Miss. (WALA) - Mississippi Gov. Phil Bryant announced this morning that he wants his state to resist any order given by President Obama that would restrict gun rights.

Gov. Bryant has asked legislative leaders to consider a bill, saying that Mississippi Law enforcement officers would not have to enforce any executive order aimed at regulating guns and ammunition.

FOX10 News with Jackson Co. Sheriff Mike Byrd about the Governor's announcement.

Sheriff Byrd said he will back up Gov. Bryant, and has no plans to enforce the executive orders.

Both Byrd and Gov. Bryant said they believe any gun control executive order by President Obama directly infringes on our constitutional right to keep and bare arms
