Two dead after George County accident

GEORGE COUNTY, Miss. (WALA) - Two people were killed in a single-car accident on Highway 98 Saturday evening.

Mississippi Highway Patrolman Johnny Poulos said the accident, which occured around 5 p.m., involved a single car which rolled over several times after it ran off the road near Highway 63.

Two of the four passengers were pronounced dead on the scene and the other two were transported to area hospitals.

The victims' identities have not yet been released, pending notification of their families and the accident is still under investigation.
