MIAMI (WALA) - Planes touched down in South Florida today, carrying hundreds of Alabama fans ahead of Monday's BCS National Championship game.
Springdale Travel said they chartered a personal plane ride for roughly 150 Bama fans, and one family of Notre Dame supporters out of Mobile.
The flight touched down at Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport just before noon.
“We played the fight song, we had bloody Mary’s, we were hanging out,” said Bama Fan, Maegan McKean.
“We’re the most intense out of everybody,” said Rayford Smith. “Notre Dame doesn’t stand a chance.“
Fans said the flight attendants teased the few Notre Dame fans that made the trip.
The groups were bussed to their hotels throughout South Florida and then hit Miami Beach.
They have pep rallies all weekend followed by a tailgating event at Sun Life stadium.
