PENSACOLA, Fla. (WALA) - A man is shot twice in the neck after a fight with his neighbor. Antonio Bradley is out of the hospital, as police search for the man who shot him.
It's the type of place where a playground is the first thing you see when you drive into the complex. Monday night, The Pines at Warrington apartment complex turned into a crime scene. It started as a fight between two neighbors, and it ended with gunshots. Investigators believe James Lewis shot his neighbor twice in the neck.
Investigators say Lewis fled the scene. They searched the surrounding area all night, now some nearby businesses, like Catfish Hut, are on guard.
"'Cause I'm right next door. Makes you real nervous," she said.
It's not just the businesses a little worried. Residents of neighborhood that backs up to the complex are concerned as well.
"It's across the ball field from me," a man who calls himself Slim Meadows said.
"I just heard a bunch of sirens," another woman on the street said.
They trust deputies will catch the suspect soon. But they hope it's sooner rather than later, for their own peace of mind.
The apartment complex had no comment on the incident.
If you have any idea where James Lewis is, please call the Escambia County Sheriff's Office at (850) 433-STOP.
