Republican candidates on other issues

ROBERTSDALE, Ala. (WALA) - Most of the Republican candidates running for governor in Alabama were in Baldwin County Saturday. The candidates attended the Republican Party Family Picnic in Robertsdale.

Fox Ten News asked them what they felt were the most important issues facing the state. All of the candidates agree the biggest issues have been overshadowed by the bingo controversy.

Tim James was ready to tackle skyrocketing homeowners' insurance rates.

Bradley Byrne said unemployment is at the top of his list.

Bill Johnson agreed jobs and the economy should be the priority.

Roy Moore believed the state should lighten the burden on business to help the economy.

Robert Bentley said he wants to help get people back to work.
