St. Patty's party at Paddy's

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - The St. Patrick's Day celebration was rocking at Paddy O'Toole's.

It's self-described as The Official St. Patrick's Day Headquarters. Paddy O'Toole's off Airport Blvd. Whether people celebrated leprechauns, corned beef and cabbage, or green beer, all were having a good time.

The St. Patrick's Day celebration at Paddy O'Toole's has been going on for more than three decades. The main act, rock group Silent Fury, drove all the way from Syracuse to be at the party.

"We drove about 13 hours to be here at Paddy O'Toole's, for the best party of the year," said the band's lead singer Mick Fury.

The bar brings in more than 35 kegs for the evening, easily the most popular of the year. The owner, Jennifer Rideway, said they don't close until the sun comes up.
