MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - TEEN ARRESTED

Arrested after a police chase and charged with a rash of burglaries, all while out on bond for an armed robbery. Eighteen-year-old, Jaquail Busby, is in a world of trouble.

For Busby, the beginning of the end was Tuesday night. Police say he and two others fled after police were called to a burglary on Illinois street in Mobile.

"The officers spotted the subjects fleeing in a vehicle, caught up to them at Gatotkoko street and the subjects fled from the vehicle. Once they fled from the vehicle they were subsequently apprehended after that," Officer Ronald Wallace said.

WANTED FOR MULTIPLE BURGLARIES

Police arrested another 18-year-old, Abrian Marks, along with a juvenile male. But it's Busby that officers were happiest to catch. He was wanted for a string of burglaries.

"About 15 warrants all together in which Mr. Busby is charged," Wallace said.

Of those 15 warrants, 12 were for home and car burglaries, all committed recently in the Dauphin Island Parkway area.

MORE TROUBLE

Busby's troubles doesn't end in Mobile. Last December, he and two others were arrested and charged with a violent robbery at a McDonalds in Daphne.

Lt. Jud Beedy with the Daphne Police Department described the incident.

"There were customers in there, innocent people. The workers who worked there were all herded to the back of the store. The manager was pistol-whipped, hit with one of the pistols," Lt. Beedy said.

Lt. Beedy said they'll request Busby's bond be revoked in Baldwin County after the recent incidents. Across the bay, Mobile Police are already trying to keep Busby from getting bond in the burglary cases.

"Were trying to ensure that he stays locked up and is not able to commit another one of these burglaries out on the streets," Wallace said.

Busby will go in front of a judge Thursday in Mobile for his bond hearing.
