Smokers to 50 percent higher premiums?

Smoking can not only impact your health, but your wallet too .

A new provision of the health care law allows health insurers to charge smokers buying individual policies up to 50 percent higher premiums. For example, a 60-year-old could wind up paying nearly $5,100 on top of premiums.

Should everyone pay the same rate for health insurance no matter the lifestyle?
