It's a new year! Happy 2012!

We want to take a moment to say "thank you" for everything you have done to help others this holiday season!

We asked, and you answered - in a big way!

You bought gifts for the children on Volunteers of America's Caring Tree. More than 1,700 children were separated from their families through no fault of their own this holiday season, and you gave them Christmas. Thank you!

We collected pennies for our Pennies for Patriots program. The Kindergartners at St. Pius X Catholic School brought in bags and bags full of spare change.

We also collected blankets to keep those in need warm this year. The pre-schoolers at Just 4 Developmental Lab gathered hundreds.

The good folks at Pilot Catastrophe donated more than 400 boxes of food and vouchers for turkeys. They also gathered hundreds of toys. So did the students at Old Shell Road Magnet School.

Hundreds of Christmas cards were made, designed and signed by you!

That's just to name a few. So many more of you got involved and helped out this holiday season. A big thank you to all of you! We are very lucky here on the Gulf Coast. We live in a wonderful community!

As we get started here in 2012, a challenge for all of us: let's keep this up. Let's remember those in need all year long, and help out when we can.
