DAILY DOT COM - Google can sift through more than a trillion Web links in a matter of seconds, but can the Internet search leader help people wade through their overflowing email boxes? That's the challenge Google is trying to tackle with its latest tool called "Priority Inbox."
True, Gmail already filters the bad stuff into a spam folder but now it will also highlight the good stuff. Just think of it as a personal assistant, helping you focus on the messages that matter, without you having to set up complex rules.
You actually train it.
Gmail's servers look at the emails you send and respond to the most in order to determine the priority. If it makes a mistake, you can use the arrow buttons to correctly mark a conversation as important or not important.
The priority inbox is offered as an opt-in so if you don’t like it you can opt-out.
