Mother's Day apps

DAILY DOT COM - (CNN) --Sunday is Mother's Day and if you haven't picked out a card or gift for mom, your smartphone or tablet may be able to help in terms of finding a gift.

It's too late to get a card through the postal service, but an e-card will arrive just in time for mom's special day.  The free justWink app app for iPhone and Android lets users create personalized cards that range from sappy to sweet to sassy, then email or text it to mom, or post it on her Facebook page.

The Cartolina app for Apple products has sweet and pretty designs with a vintage feel.  Apple product users can also download the Flower Garden app for free users can put a quick and easy bouquet on mom's iPad.

And if you plan to take mom out for brunch, lunch, or dinner, scope out the local restaurants on Gooddining.com . 

Members who sign up on the site can donate up to six percent of their meal tab at participating restaurants, to a charity, school or cause, of their choice.

Speaking of apps, Facebook is expected to launch an app center in the coming weeks.  The company made the announcement on its developer blog Wednesday.  According to reports, the apps will be searchable thought categories like games, lifestyle and sports. Once users find something they like, they will be directed to Apple’s app store or Google Play to make a purchase.
