DAILY DOT COM - The makers of an invisible keyboard of sorts, takes the idea from concept to reality.  SnapKeys is the new technology for touchscreen devices that drastically changes the way users interact with data on their smartphones.

SnapKeys divides the typing portion of your touch screen into categories, which is much different than the QWERTY keyboard we are use to seeing on most smartphones.  Rather than seeing a 104-keyboard, the SnapKeys keyboard only 4 keys, each having 3 letters.

“Each finger has only two positions up or down so you have two thumbs on the screen typing on the screen and because there are only two choices up or down he doesn't have to look at the screen anymore," said Benjamin Ghassabian, SnapKeys CEO.

The technology lets you see and interact with more content like pictures, videos, and text while writing comments, emails or filling in fields on forms.

The SnapKeys technology was 12 years in the making.   We first reported on it in January 2012 .  Since then we’ve learned SnapKeys recently launched in the Google Play store for Android devices as a free Beta app.  No word on when it will be available on other platforms.  

The makers of the technology tells Fox10News Lenise Ligon they’re received a ton of traction since the launch.  They are now considering piloting the technology to some school districts.  We will keep you posted!
