MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Twitter unveiled a new look along, with several other changes several changes in a blog post on Tuesday.
New profile pages and a new interface for the iPad are just some of the improvements, but the biggest change you'll see is more pictures.
Twitter has redesigned the profile pages to include large header photos right at the top of the individual's account. It's a move many tech bloggers are comparing to Facebook's cover photo. However, Twitter says the new profile images will help users get to know each other better.
As part of the new profiles, photo streams will now appear below your most recent "tweets." This way, users can swipe through their stream to see pictures other users have shared or tap any thumbnail to see the picture as a full-screen. Android users can use pinch-and-zoom function to get a closer look at thumbnail images.
The new options are available to all users, including those on the iPhone, iPad, Android and the web. If you are interested in downloading the new app, click here .
