Verizon service unifies your messaging life

Hard to believe, but it's been twenty years since the first text message was sent!

In all that time, messaging remains the one of the more popular ways of communicating — the only difference is today's consumers are juggling between multiple devices at once.

To help subscribers keep up with the times, Verizon Wireless is launching a program that essentially syncs text messages between smartphones, tablets and personal computers.

It's a unified messaging solution known as Verizon Messages that works through your primary number.

Once enabled, messages sent to a customer's mobile number will appear simultaneously on your PC, Android smartphones and tablets, or iOS tablets.  That way, important text messages aren't missed no matter what device you're using.

A web app keeps all messages in sync and stored in the cloud for up to 90 days unless you delete them.  Conveniently, the app also offers an auto-reply feature for times when you need to disconnect.
