DAILY DOT COM - These days there is a mobile app for just about everything. And now if you have an upcoming event, say a watch party for the big game in New Orleans February 3, 2013 that you want to publicize, you can create an app for that too.
Yapp is a simple and fun way for consumers to create content-centric mobile apps, “Yapps,” around specific use cases like events.
It started as a as a private beta service in April 2012, but went public later that year in November –making it available to the masses.
People can create and publish apps for weddings, fundraisers, reunions or sports teams here.
From there, consumers can choose from a collection of themes, and then customize a set of pages for their event including invitations, schedules, photos, or travel information. There is even an option to link a feed if you like. When you are done, hit publish and let your guests know you have an app for your event.
The app's are visible through Yapp's native app, YappBox -- just think of it as the inbox for all the apps you've created.
There are other app making solutions out there, but unlike some of those Yapp is pretty easy to use and requires little-to-no technical know how.
The basic version is free but a $35 dollar version that offers more bells and whistles. Yack is available for both Andriod and Apple devices.
