MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - This week's Chris Myers Extra Mile Award goes to Joyce Chavers and the Mobile Terrace Community Development Corporation.

For the past 37 years, Mrs. Chavers has spearheaded fundraisers to provide Christmas gifts, school supplies and Thanksgiving meals to the children and senior citizens in the Mobile Terrace community.
