    DAPHNE, Ala. (WALA) - This week's Chris Myers Nissan Extra Mile Award goes to the Weekday Education Ministries at Eastern Shore Baptist Church.

    The ministry strives to teach about the love of Jesus as modeled by their teachers.

    This $500 check will be used to make improvements to the church's playground.

    Gail Gardner, Director of Weekday Educational Ministries: “We're going to purchase either a large [toy] four passenger fire truck or a school bus [for the playground]. We haven't decided yet."
