FUGITIVE FILES Money for nothing

Police say he took $1,000 for work he didn't do

MOBILE, Ala. - Mobile Police need your help to find a man accused of taking money for work he doesn't do.

Take a look at this week's suspect, Lambert Buchel. Police say, in January, he took a thousand dollars from a woman in the 600 block of Fairfax Road to re-pave her driveway but never came back to do the work. That's bad enough, but police believe he may have other victims.

Mobile Police officer Christopher Levy told me, "We believe that he has done this to other people, where it maybe hasn't been reported for any other reason. So, if anyone else can recognize him because they're a victim of him, they're encouraged to call the police to make a report also."

Police say Buchel has an arrest record that includes writing bad checks, theft by deception and DUI. .

Buchel's last known address is on Fairfax Road. He faces a new charge of theft by deception, which is a felony.
