MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - UPDATE: FOX10 News Fugitive Files suspect Derrick Carter surrendered after appearing on FOX10 News Fugitive Files.
Mobile police need your help to find a suspect wanted for cashing counterfeit checks. They are looking for Derrick Carter, whose last known address is Summerville Street in Mobile. Police say their investigation into Carter and others began months ago.
"In September, we started an investigation into a group of people that we signing forged checks and cashing them at the WalMart on the Beltline. And through this investigation, one of our suspects in the investigation is Derrick Carter. Derrick Carter, what we know is that in September, cashed these forged checks at the WalMart and we've signed warrants for his arrest for criminal possession of a forged instrument," said Corporal Christopher Levy.
