MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - UPDATE: Thanks to your tips, Mobile Police arrested Amanda Simmons less than 24 hours after she was profiled on Fox 10 News Fugitive Files. Police say she was discovered at a relative's home on Shelton Beach Road. She is arrest number 513 for you and Fox 10 News Fugitive Files.
This week's Fox 10 News Fugitive Files suspect is wanted for a crime that happened in April.
Police are looking for Amanda Simmons, who has blonde hair in her driver's license picture, but may have brown hair now. She's accused of fraudulent use of a credit card.
Mobile Police say a camera caught her in the act. Corporal Christopher Levy said, "We went back and found some video of the person using the credit card and we were able to determine that it's Amanda Simmons. She used it quite a bit, in fact more than 5 thousand dollars worth."
Amanda Simmons is 36 years old, 5 foot 3 tall and weighs 125 pounds. Police say she does not have an arrest record. If you know where to find her, call the Fox 10 News Fugitive Files/Crimestoppers Hotline at 251-208-7000.
Police say they've been in contact with Simmons and with her mother who lives in Chickasaw, but say the 2 of them are no longer cooperating with authorities.
Simmons is known to drive a blue, 2009 Hyundai Elantra with Alabama tag 2A98H29, which is registered to her mother, Barbara Guy who lives on West Valley Road in Chickasaw.
