MOBILE, Ala. - It only took a few days to catch last week's suspect on Fox 10 News Fugitive Files. Now, it's time to take someone new off the streets, someone who has promised to surrender, but hasn't.
Mobile Police want to find Lori Denise Howell, who faces forgery charges. She's accused of taking advantage of a senior citizen. Corporal Christopher Levy said, "It's in reference to stealing some checks from an elderly victim and has been going around town, writing checks to different stores and signing the victim's name...The detective has become quite frustrated with her, because every time she makes arrangements for her to either meet up with us or turn herself in, she has failed to do so. So, we indicated that we were going to put her on Fugitive Files."
Howell is 46 years old (she turns 47 Thursday), 5 foot 1 inches tall and weighs 125 pounds. If you know where to find her, call the Fox 10 News Fugitive Files/Crimestoppers Hotline at 251-208-7000.
She has an arrest record that includes robbery, forgery, carrying pistol without a permit, possession of cocaine and giving a false name to police. Since officers say she refuses to surrender, they want you to turn her in.
