MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - UPDATE: FOX10 News Fugitive Files suspect Antonio Johnson was arrested August 23, about a month after being profiled on FOX10 News. He is the 531st suspect arrested after appearing on FOX10 News Fugitive Files.
FOX10 News Fugitive Files needs your help to find two suspects.
Mobile police said Melvina Tinsley and Antonio Johnson are accused of cashing four worthless checks in June.
Spokesperson Ashley Rains said, “What these two have done is, they have worked together; they created some forged checks on a local company. And actually, between noon on June 2 and about 2 o'clock on June 13, they actually went and cashed these checks, using their own names and their own IDs at two area Wal-Mart locations.”
Police said Tinsley and Johnson targeted the Wal-Marts on Rangeline and Schillinger roads in Mobile.
Tinsley is 22 years old, 5 foot 5 inches tall and weighs 230 pounds.
Johnson is 43 years old, 5 foot 7 and weighs 170 pounds.
If you've seen either one of them, call the FOX10News Fugitive Files/Crimestoppers Hotline at 251-208-7000.
Police admit it is unusual for forgery suspects to use their own names and addresses on phony checks and to cash them using their own valid IDs, but it does make it easier to track them down.
