MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - UPDATE: Fox 10 News Fugitive Files suspect Alex McMillian surrendered Tuesday, less than a week after being profiled on Fox 10. In addition to being charged with attempted murder, he is also charged with murder in connection with the September 3, 2011 death of 41 year-old Kenneth Earl Harris in the 1900 block of St. Stephens Road.
In just a few weeks, you might help Fox 10 News Fugitive Files reach a milestone of 500 arrests. Last week's suspect surrendered on Saturday; he was number 497.
Can you help us find number 498? You'll want to, after you hear what he's accused of doing.
His name is Alex McMillian. Mobile Police say he was the first one arrested in Mobile County under Alabama's new domestic violence law covering attempted strangulation. He was supposed to go to court on the charge Wednesday morning. Police say Tuesday night, he tried to kill the woman he's accused of attacking, who by the way, is the mother of their child.
"During this incident, he shot her multiple times including in the head, and cut her several times, even including her throat," said Mobile Police Corporal Christopher Levy.
McMillian, who now faces an attempted murder charge, is 44 years old, 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 155 pounds. If you know where police can find him, call the Fox 10 News Fugitive Files/Crimestoppers Hotline at 251-208-7000.
His last known address is 462 Drive Street in Mobile. Keep in mind, he has already said he is not afraid of the police. Don't approach him. Instead, call and turn him in.
