Event to focus on womens health issues

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - You are invited to a fun event — and this one is just for the girls.

It's called Just Us Girls, it's being sponsored by Infirmary Health Women's Best program and it’s all about your health. The event will be held on Thursday, September 13 at 5:30 p.m. at Room 310 Downtown.

Organizer Jennifer Vellianitis said, "The goal is to empower women and encourage all of us to take our health care issues seriously."

As most Moms know, our health can sometimes land at the bottom of our priority list. Vellianitis said the Just Us Girls event on Thursday night is designed to make us all a little more proactive when it comes to taking care of ourselves.

The night will include food, drinks, a silent auction and a panel of doctors ready and willing to answer whatever questions you have.

Tickets are on sale now at the Mobile Infirmary Marketing Department (435-3500). They are $25 for Women's Best members and $30 for non-members. For more information on the event, click here.
