FAIRHOPE, Ala. (WALA) - Local politicians had two extra weeks to get their message out because of Hurricane Isaac and, today, voters get to decide whose message got through the best.
After many elections slated for the end of August were pushed to Sept. 11 due to the threat of the storm, residents have the chance to participate in the democratic process today, by voting.
Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
In Mobile County, municipal elections will be held in Bayou La Batre, Dauphin Island and Prichard.
In Baldwin County, voters will go to the polls in Bay Minette, Elberta, Fairhope, Foley, Gulf Shores, Loxley, Magnolia Springs, Orange Beach, Perdido Beach, Robertsdale, Silverhill and Summerdale.
