Judge Moore stops in Mobile

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Judge Roy Moore , the Republican nominee for Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court, spent Saturday morning in Mobile.

Judge Moore spoke at the South Alabama Republican Men's Club. The meeting was held at the John Word (Captain's Table) Restaurant next to the USS Alabama on the Causeway.

Judge Moore is looking to take back his spot in Alabama's Supreme Court. He was removed in 2003 after he refused to remove a Ten Commandments monument from the state Supreme Court Building.

Moore will face the Democratic nominee, Pelham attorney Harry Lyon, in the November general election.
