MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions talked about the President's gun control proposals, the nomination of Jack Lew to be Secretary of the Treasury, and the federal budget during an interview with FOX10 News anchor Bob Grip Wednesday night.

Grip talked about the threat posed by a "lone wolf" gunman, someone who doesn't confide in anyone prior to committing a violent act.  Grip asked Sessions, "How would any of what you heard today, keep the guns out of the hands of that kind of person?  It seems like it would be very difficult".  Sessions replied, "That's the point. You just can't keep people from committing violent crimes. You never have in the history of the world, and we won't now, so we have to be realistic about how we can effectively do that".

Sessions also said, at this point, he plans to run for re-election.
