DAPHNE, Ala. (WALA) - DAPHNE

Election officials said incumbent Mayor Bailey Yelding won the mayoral run-off election in Daphne, Tuesday.

Officials said although the results are not final, there are not enough provisional ballots to make a difference.

Officials said Yelding received 2,253 votes and Boulware received 2,132.

Yelding faced challenger Derek Boulware. In the August 28 election, Yelding received 32 percent of the vote, to Boulware's 45 percent.

Yelding was appointed to the spot after former Mayor Fred small resigned last year.

MOUNT VERNON

Mount Vernon officials said in the race for mayor, James Adams won with 368 votes, to 299 votes for Verdell Trotter-Dees

In the Town Council District 2 race, Jeanette McGaskill received 81 votes, to 75 votes for Linda Robbins. It’s still too close to declare a winner in this race, because provisional ballots must still be counted.

SATSUMA

In the City Council District 1 race, William Hamblin received 847 votes, to 402 for Emily Keeney.

In the District 3 race, Matt Dial won with 633 votes.  Pratt Monk received 619 votes.
