TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - Florida Gov. Rick Scott is saying Florida will do nothing to comply with President Barack Obama's health care overhaul.

Scott recently said he would follow the law if it were upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court. But he went on national television on Friday night and said Florida will not take any steps to help carry out the overhaul.

Scott said on Fox News ( Click here to view intervie w ) that the state would not expand the Medicaid program in order to lower the number of uninsured residents. The governor also said that Florida would not set up a state-run health exchange, or a marketplace where people needing insurance policies could shop for them.

The governor said that expanding eligibility of Medicaid to those just above the poverty level would not help the citizens of Florida.
