One of my favorite things in life is to head over to the Louisiana Marsh to chase redfish. On a recent trip, I started catching fish early on a chilly morning.
I like to blind cast a bit to start the day. Its hard to see the fish when the sun angle is low. So, I just make casts to likely points and pockets.
The lure I was using is one of the best shallow water redfish baits of all time. Its just a cocahoe on a ¼ oz no slack tackle lead head and a hildebrant #4 safety pin spinnerbait. I caught over a dozen pretty reds on this day.
