If you are a fan of FOX10 Outdoors and the 30 minute show "Outdoors with Jason Smith", then we have some great news. Chief Meteorologist Jason Smith tells us about the debut of season four starting soon!

It all starts this weekend (September 8-9, 2012) on WFNA and WALA FOX10!

Fall is almost here and its time for some fresh new episodes of "Outdoors with Jason Smith".

It all began back in 2006 as I launched the feature segments you see on FOX10 News each Thursday. After gathering quite a bit of extra video, we had enough material to launch a 30 minute outdoors show "Outdoors with Jason Smith" in 2009. We have produced 46 full length shows, and now it's time for more! Here is a preview of some the action that you can look forward to in Season 4.

No series is complete without having several episodes dedicated to the most popular inshore game fish in our area, the speckled trout. I will show you the successful techniques used to catch trout in all four seasons. We even have two full shows that focus on tactics used to catch them in the fall. I also head out with veteran guides like Captain Bobby Abruscato and Captain Richard Rutland.

The new season will also feature a show highlighting the best fishing trip of the summer. We caught some fine trout and some tasty tripletail with Captain Joey Gates.

We also have some freshwater shows, featuring both slab crappie and delta largemouth.

Look for "Outdoors with Jason Smith" on Saturdays on WFNA, and on Sunday's at 10 a.m. on WALA FOX10.
