This week, we take you on a classic bass fishing trip from a few years ago. We headed up Raft River in search of bass. We spotted a pair of bald eagles circling overhead as we ran up the river.

Bass are plentiful in the delta. The water is a little muddier this year, but crankbaits are still producing quality fish. I like a Bandit 6-8’ diver, in the “Mistake” color. Don’t be afraid to fish around stumps and structure. This is where the bass congregate along the shoreline.

These diving crankbaits wobble and produce vibration. The plastic lip cause the bait to dive. They entice bass in the cooler water, that may be a few feet deeper in the water column.
