GULF COAST - We take you back to Louisiana this time on outdoors. On this particular trip, we head to some new areas in search of tailing redfish. If you have a nice platform to stand on, you can see the fish fairly easily in the shallows. We like to us a trolling motor or a push pole to sneak up on the fish without spooking them.
Redfish can be seen as they push along in the shallow water, leaving a noticeable wake. Sometimes, in shallow water, you can see their tails or there backs out of the water. A spinner bait is a good lure to use to target these fish. If you catch a fish, or see a school of fish… Try going back and forth across these areas looking for more. The school may break up, but you can still find singles.
