BCCA 30-Second Commercial Contest Winners: Foley High School

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. - The Baldwin County Community Alliance (BCCA) sponsored a 30-second commercial contest which was open to middle and high school students. Students were asked to use their creative skills to outline a television commercial showing the negative impact of underage drinking with a focus on access and availability of alcohol.
Participating students wrote a detailed summary of their commercial and also submitted a story board. School winners are selected from schools that have submissions and county-wide winners are selected from school winners. County-wide winners will be given the opportunity to appear in the filming of their commercials, which will air on WFNA and FOX10 TV for a minimum of one year.
The individual school winners of the 30-second commercial contest are as follows: Bay Minette Middle School-Caitlyn Byrne, Spanish Fort Middle School- Mary Claire Irvin, and Daphne High School School- Max Bennett.
The three overall commercial winners were as follows: Fairhope High School- Lauren Bowling,
Baldwin County High School- Sydney Harville, Steven Spillmon, Destany Morris, and Foley High School - Mrs. Taylor’s Creative Writing. The overall winners will have their commercials produced by FOX10 TV and will be given the opportunity to appear as actors in the spots. The commercials will air on FOX10 TV and WFNA. All school and overall winners received a prize pack from FOX10 TV, WFNA, and Lite Mix 99.9, 95KSJ, 96.1 The Rocket, and Project Rebound.
