OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (WALA) - The second seed Alabama softball team bounced back in a big way as it downed four seed Oklahoma, 8-6, Tuesday night at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium. The win propels the Crimson Tide into its first ever NCAA title game.

UA took advantage of four Sooner walks and six hit by pitches, needing only four hits to plate eight runs. Sophomore pitcher Jackie Traina led the way in the circle and at the plate, improving to a NCAA best 41-3 on the season. Traina struck out eight and tallied two hits and three RBI. Senior Amanda Locke also drove in three on the night.

Alabama will now play for its first softball NCAA title as it will face Oklahoma tomorrow at 7 p.m.

The victory improves Alabama’s record to 59-8 while Oklahoma drops to 54-9.
