Alabama picked up its third five-star recruit of the 2012 class when Landon Collins verbally committed to the Tide at the Under Armour All-American Game in Orlando on Thursday night.
Collins (6-0, 200) is a safety from Dutchtown High School in Geisman, LA, and is the top-rated player in the state of Louisiana.
He joins fellow five-star prospects Daphne running back T.J. Yeldon and Panama City Arnold athlete Eddie Williams as Alabama commits.
Many are surprised Collins chose the Tide over LSU.
