MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Mobile's AJ McCarron threw four touchdowns in Monday night's BCS National Championship, leading Alabama to its third national title in four years.
The Tide (13-1, 7-1 SEC) defeated Notre Dame (12-1) 42-14 Monday night in Sun Life Stadium in Miami, Florida.
Freshman Amari Cooper surpassed the 1000-yard mark for the season in the game, catching a pair of touchdowns.

The Tide nearly doubled the Fighting Irish in both time of possession and total yardage. Bama had 529 yards in the game, and over 400 halfway through the third quarter.
Daphne's TJ Yeldon had more than 100 yards and a touchdown Monday night, the fifth 100-plus yard effort in just his freshman season.
The championship is number 15 for Alabama.
