Bama fans can show support with t-shirt

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Combine an SEC Championship with Christmas, and what do you get?

Plenty of Alabama shirts being bought and sold.

SEC Championship shirts arrived Sunday morning at Bama Fever/Tiger Pride stores in the Mobile area, according to the manager at the Bel Air Mall location.

Allek Wade said, "We got them in probably about, I want to say about 930 this morning, 10:00. That's when I got here:  boxes everywhere."

They were big sellers; Karen Woodall bought three.

Missy Coggins said, "We bought two of the SEC shirts, because we're winners, because we 'Roll Tide.'"

But, some customers weren't just satisfied with the shirts. They were looking for, Carmen Harris said, "the hats, the championship hats."

Woodall said employees told her the hats "are coming in next week, so, I'm coming back for my hat."

She won't be the only one.

The BCS Championship shirts, featuring whomever the winner may be — Notre Dame or Alabama — won't come out until after the game January 7.
