Jacksonville, Fla. (WALA) -  The Mobile BayBears defeated the Jacksonville Suns 6-1 Tuesday night at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville.

The BayBears wasted no time getting on the scoreboard with a four-run first inning and then adding an additional run in both the second and sixth innings. With their third consecutive win, the BayBears extended their division lead to three full games.

Mobiletook an early 4-0 lead over Jacksonville in the first inning as David Nick ripped two straight singles off right-hander Zach Neal. Brent Clevlen followed with a single of his own that drove in Nick for the first run. Marc Krauss then drove in Greene with a single and advanced to second on a throwing error, putting runners at second and third with no outs. Following an Alfredo Marte ground out that allowed Greene to score, Wladimir Sutil lined a RBI double that plated Krauss for the fourth run of the frame.

The BayBears manufactured two more insurance runs later in the game and Mobile right-hander Derek Eitel would keep the Suns offense to a minimum. Eitel allowed one run on five hits in six full innings of work. The BayBear bullpen continued to keep the Suns in check, not allowing a single hit over the final three innings.

The BayBears and Suns continue their series Wednesday afternoon at 12:05 PM. RHP Chase Anderson (1-0) will head to the mound for Mobile. LHP Graham Taylor (2-2) will take the hill for Jacksonville.

Mobile will return home Friday, May 11, to play host to the Chattanooga Lookouts with first pitch scheduled for 7:05 PM, with a "Concert in the Sky" fireworks show following the game.
