New Orelans, La (WALA) - The street showdown continues in New Orleans, just hours before the BCS National Championship game.
Day 2 of the Allstate fan fest brought Bama and LSU fans to the French Quarters for their team pep-rallies Sunday afternoon.
"You know this is a central location for them all to gather and it's great to just make sure- when LSU fans see other LSU fans they're high-fiving each other and same thing with the Bama fans,” said Pam Hollander with Allstate Marketing.
The event gave visitors a chance to get close and personal with the official coaches’ trophy that will be awarded after the game Monday night.
Fans also got a chance to show their skills out on the field.
”In the south if you don't follow football - something's wrong with you,” said one LSU graduate from Daphne, AL.
The street rivalry is only expected to grow as crowds continue to pour into the crescent city ahead of Monday’s game.
“I think because we stole LSU coach and now they're losing,” said one Bama fan.
“I think it's an extremely healthy rivalry. if you walk around the city right now they’re fans. they’re fans first but they’re very loyal to their teams and i just think its great,” said Hollander.
