MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - More than 100 Alabama fans left on a chartered flight out of Mobile on Saturday to join the fun in South Florida.
A flood of crimson and iconic houndstooth at Mobile Regional Airport Saturday morning was a clear indication of one group's destination.
"We just here getting ready to go to Miami and watch Alabama bring home another trophy," Teresa Adams said.
Adams was one of 150 football fans who booked seats on the charter plane bound for Florida.
Janson Graham was taking his young son along.
"I'm very pumped up. Taking my little boy JR Graham. First National Championship for him, but it's my fourth," Graham said.
Like his dad, J.R. was confident the Tide would win, "Why? Because they have a better team than them."
Of course, it couldn't hurt to have his lucky hat, autographed by former Alabama coach Gene Stalling.
Gaines Johnson is predicting a 24 - 13 victory for the Tide.
"I think I've been waiting for this game my entire life. It's the team I said about half way through the season. If we play any team in the National Championship, it would be that team," Johnson said.
"Roll Tide."
"Roll Tide."
"Roll Tide."
They chanted as they waitied in the airport to board their plane, and the fans are hoping that Tide will still be rolling on the return flight home next week.
