Bruce Sutter to attend dedication

Grand opening of the Childhood Home & Museum

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - The names continue to roll in as famed reliever Bruce Sutter becomes the latest member of the National Baseball Hall of Fame to accept an invitation in paying tribute to the legendary Hank Aaron at the Grand Opening of the Hank Aaron Childhood Home & Museum on Wednesday, April 14 at Hank Aaron Stadium.

Sutter joins the star-studded list of attendees which includes Aaron himself along with fellow Hall of Famers Rickey Henderson, Bob Feller and Mobile's own Ozzie Smith, MLB Commissioner Bud Selig, MILB President Pat O'Conner, Southern League President Don Mincher and Baseball Hall of Fame President Jeff Idelson.

Sutter, known for his intimidating forkball, spent 12 seasons in the big leagues with the Chicago Cubs, St. Louis Cardinals and Atlanta Braves. He saved exactly 300 games and took home the 1979 National League Cy Young Award. He was enshrined in Cooperstown in 2006 and intends to drive down to Mobile from his home in Atlanta to be at Hank Aaron Stadium for the Opening Night festivities.
