MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Alabama versus Notre Dame isn't just a football game.
It's the reunion of two historically great football programs who will duel it out once again; this time, on the turf in Miami.
The 2012 BCS National Championship is little more a week away and as we count down to kickoff, FOX10 News will bringing you some exclusive behind the scenes stories.
FOX10 News reporter Letisha Bush is taking viewers into the Paul W. Bryant Museum where you can bet Notre Dame holds a spot.
She'll also give you an inside look at how Alabama's cheerleading squad prepares for the title game.
You'll get to hear from seniors who will be cheering in their 3rd BCS National Championship game and what it's like to have a sideline perspective.
Of course the football team is also hard at work getting ready for the Fighting Irish.
FOX10 News reporter Candace Murphy sat down with Alabama Linebacker and Theodore-native C.J. Mosley to talk about his breakout season and why he’s staying with the Tide for another year.
He also talks about tipping the ball in the SEC Championship game, a play that secured Alabama's spot in the national championship game.
You'll hear Alabama running back Jalston Folwer talk about his season ending injury, his football plans for the future and how he's still contributing to the team's success from the sideline.
"We prepare daily, everyday, so we've been preparing for it," Fowler said.
FOX10 news reporter Andrew Perez will bring you into two fans’ home to show you a good-hearted rivalry in Tuscaloosa: that is, a Notre Dame graduate and an Alabama professor who will be sitting on opposite couches come game time.
"Whatever happens, we'll still love each other but it would sure be nice if Notre Dame won," said the Notre Dame fan.
And they're not the only ones who will be on the edge of their seats next week. Habitat for Humanity says if Alabama wins, it will be breaking ground on another home.
Andrew Perez will also give you an inside look at how the Crimson Tide football team continues to impact the lives of Tuscaloosa citizens a year after a tornado devastated the area.
Let’s not forget about the heart and soul of the football team: the coaches.
FOX10’s Candace Murphy sat down with one of the football teams' spiritual directors for a preview of some of the team's traditions moments before the game clock starts.
It's one rivalry, one game and there can only be one champion and coverage like this will only be on FOX10 News and here on Fox10tv.com
