TALLADEGA, Ala. (WALA) - Jeff Gordon has won the pole for Sunday's race at Talladega Superspeedway.

Gordon's late lap of 191.623 mph bumped AJ Allmendinger, who was on top of the board for most of the session with a lap of 191.111. Marcos Ambrose qualified third.

This is the 71st pole of Gordon's career but first since this race last year. He's third on the all-time list.
