MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - The University of South Alabama Jaguars lost their season opener to the University of Texas at San Antonio Roadrunners on a last-second, 51-yard field goal.

The Jags will start the season 0-1 following the 33-31 loss. Their Sun Belt Conference record remains at 0-0.

The USA squad, which is in its second season, was plagued by mistakes throughout the game at Ladd-Peebles stadium Saturday afternoon.

Hurricane Isaac forced the rescheduling of the game, which was originally set to be played on Thursday August, 29.

FOX10 News Reporter Russell Colburn was at the game and will have more from Ladd at 9 p.m.
